Your rights and how to exercise them: Resquinalen

How Resquinalen collects, uses and protects your personal information — in plain language, in accordance with UK data protection law.

What information we collect and why

Resquinalen collects personal information that you provide directly — such as your name and email address when you register or subscribe to our newsletter — and information generated through your use of the platform, such as research queries and session data. We collect this information to provide and improve the Resquinalen service, to communicate with you about your account and to send you the research perspectives you have subscribed to receive.

We also collect certain technical information automatically when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited. This information is used for security, performance monitoring and to understand how the platform is being used in aggregate. It is not used to build individual profiles for advertising purposes.

How we use and protect your information

Your personal information is used only for the purposes for which it was collected. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Where we engage third-party service providers to help us operate the platform — such as cloud hosting or email delivery services — those providers are contractually bound to handle your data only in accordance with our instructions and applicable law.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. These measures are reviewed and updated regularly. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we take our obligations seriously and maintain the standards that UK data protection law requires.

Your rights and how to exercise them

Under UK data protection law, you have rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to access the information we hold about you, the right to have inaccurate information corrected, the right to request deletion of your information in certain circumstances and the right to object to certain types of processing. You also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, or if you have questions about how we handle your personal information, please contact us at privacy@resquinalen.com. We will respond to your request within the timeframe required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection supervisory authority.
